Ayama Processors
NetLogic Microsystems’ Ayama products are a family of NETLite processors designed to provide classification in enterprise, metro, and wide-area networking platforms. These devices offer the ability to store up to 512K 36-bit IPv4 routes, and search rates of up to 266 million decisions per second. A SRAM port allows for glue-less interface to associated data, and a cascade port enables depth expansion for larger database sizes.
The Ayama 10000A family of NETLite processors utilizes a high-bandwidth 72-bit DDR interface to connect to ASICs, FPGAs, and NPUs. The Ayama 20000 family of knowledge-based processors utilizes the industry-standard LA-1 interface to up to two NPU devices. An associated data manager efficiently organizes and accesses next-action data and a cascade port allows for depth expansion with the Ayama 10000A family of knowledge-based processors, or the Sahasra family of algorithmic knowledge-based processors. A typical cascade configuration includes 1.5M IPv4 routes and 256K ACL entries
