Director of Field Applications Engineering, NA and EMEA

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and implement best in class practices. Manage all aspects of technical support through the design-win cycle. This includes both pre and post sales activities related to our multi-core processor families.
  • Develop and manage a team of Field Application Engineers that provide technical support and guidance to NetLogic Microsystems local sales staff, in promoting NetLogic Microsystems products to customer engineers and architects, during the design-win cycle.
    • This includes creation and/or presentation of technical material for customer meetings, creation and/or demonstration and benchmarking of NetLogic Microsystems products, technical discovery and analysis of customer application, and identification of optimal NetLogic Microsystems system solutions.
  • Identify and deploy direct technical support to customer engineers, during integration of NetLogic Microsystems products into their systems.
    • This includes installation, test, and benchmarking of NetLogic Microsystems reference software and software development kits, and configuration and use of application software.
    • Also includes customer guidance and support in development of customer hardware, test software, device drivers, API's, and application software, and review of customer schematics.
  • Provide critical review of NetLogic Microsystems’ technical documents, specifications, manuals, app notes, white papers, product briefs, etc.

Requirements:

  • BSCS/EE with advanced degrees preferred.
  • 10+ years of Director or senior level management experience.
  • Experience in major account development and ability to engage at the executive management level.
  • Technical knowledge or experience in:
    • C/C++ programming, troubleshooting, performance analysis in embedded systems environment
    • OS internals, bin utils and C libraries in Linux, Unix, xBSD, VxWorks, or similar operating system
    • Device Driver/API development
    • Networking protocols, software, systems, and equipment
    • Common microprocessor architectures and assembly language programming (preferably MIPS)
    • Common system hardware interfaces (PCI/PCI-X, PCI-express, SPI-4.2, xGMII, I2C, DDR2)
    • Embedded systems development and debugging techniques


Director of Device and Process Integration

Responsibilities:

  • Managing current and next generation process technologies
    at our Wafer Foundry.
  • Will work with Foundry to troubleshoot and resolve process and devices issues impacting yield in coordination with Product Engineering.
  • Work with design teams to derive device requirements for next generation of products and work with Foundry on device/process compliance to roadmap and monitor process/device performance.

Requirements:

  • M.S. Degree in physics or electrical engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Fabless semiconductor industry
  • Experience in IC process integration in the area of
    55nm and 40nm technologies
  • Thorough understanding of sub-micron device physics
    and semiconductor processing
  • Knowledge of embedded SRAM technologies
  • Experience with high performance microprocessors highly desirable
  • Knowledge of advanced dev such as high k metal gates,
    SiGe strain engineering
  • Experience with typical Foundry technology files likes
    Spice models, DRC decks
  • You must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Position will require travel to Asia foundry every 8 weeks.
  • Candidates with prior similar experience with TSMC highly preferred

Senior Field Application Engineers

Our FAEs will be responsible for providing all aspects of technical solutions selling to customers in order to win major designs. The FAE will function as an integral member of the Sales team, working with account managers, factory-based Applications and Product Marketing to provide pre-/post-sales direct customer technical support. The FAE’s critical role is to help customers make the right decisions, producing NetLogic Microsystems-based solutions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent entire product line from a system solution
    perspective to sophisticated customer decision makers
  • Present to customers how NetLogic products enhance
    system performance and capabilities
  • Perform product demonstrations and support the software/hardware
    bring-up of development systems in customer labs
  • Provide customer technical training as needed
  • Trouble shoot and own problem identification at accounts
  • Contribute input to new product definition
  • Travel as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a related engineering discipline (EE or CS)
  • Minimum of 5 years of Field Application Sales experience with embedded
    CPU/SoCs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal, written) skills
    are critical to this position.
  • Knowledge of RTOS software development using high performance embedded processors is required.
  • Semiconductor solutions expertise in communications, storage, wireless or securitymarkets
  • Expertise in Layer 2-7 network and/or security applications
  • Linux operation and administration experience
  • Embedded RTOS experience
  • GNU tool chain experience
  • 'C' programming experience
  • Board level, interface technology and HW experience
    would be an advantage.
