Fine Digital Announces Selection of the Ultra Low-Power Alchemy® Au1384 Processor to Power its Next Generation Automotive Infotainment System

Seoul, Korea and Mountain View, Calif. – June 3, 2010 – NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. [NASDAQ: NETL], a worldwide leader in high-performance intelligent semiconductor solutions for next-generation Internet networks, and Fine Digital, a leading provider of navigation and location-based services (LBS), today announced that its Au1384 processor, the newest member of the ultra low-power Alchemy® processor family, has been selected to power Fine Digital's next generation automotive infotainment system.

NetLogic Microsystems' Alchemy processor family delivers the powerful processing performance, robust connected media acceleration and ultra low-power functionality required for intelligent next-generation connected automotive infotainment, audio/video navigation (AVN), heads-up display (HUD) and telematics systems. The industry-leading Alchemy processors have enabled Fine Digital to offer high-performance solutions that provide users with advanced navigation capabilities and an unparalleled media experience from the convenience of the automobile.

The ultra low-power Au1384 is based on a high-performance MIPS32® architecture running at 800MHz, and integrates an HD video processor and 3D graphics processor supporting OpenVG and OpenGL-ES. The Au1384 system bus operates at 400MHz, which improves overall performance and now supports memory speeds up to DDR2-800. It is available in a 21mm x 21mm, LF-PBGA537 package in both commercial and industrial temperature configurations. NetLogic Microsystems' Au1384 also includes a best-in-class LCD controller with four graphics planes for 32-bit aRGB, and a second generation Media Acceleration Engine® (MAE2) for H.264, MPEG 1/2/4, DivX, XviD, WMV9 and VC-1 media playback.
Fine Digital's automotive infotainment solution incorporates NetLogic Microsystems' ultra low-power Au1384 processor and features a 7-inch WVGA LCD display, Atlan 3D maps, and rich media playback. This market-leading solution also includes SD and USB slots and mobile TV (DMB) functionality. Fine Digital will introduce its automotive infotainment solution in mass production in June 2010.
