Cupertino, CA, July 8, 2008 — RMI Corporation, a leading provider of High Performance Processor Solutions for Networking, Communications and Media Rich Applications, and Clearview Technology, Inc., a leading innovator of mobile computing devices, today announced that the miPC Infinity™, an innovative computing product bringing true “mobile computing” to the market, is powered by the RMI® Alchemy™ Au1250™ Processor, through its Windows CE 5.0 Pro embedded platform. RMI’s highly integrated, feature-rich and power optimized Alchemy Processor enables up to 12 hours
of playback time in a true mobile computing platform.

The miPC Infinity, recently announced by Clearview as the world’s smallest and most versatile mobile internet PC, offers performance and capability not previously available in a mobile PC. Weighing approximately 310 grams (0.68 lb) and measuring 5.7 x 3.4 x 1.1 inches, the Infinity miPC is the size of a PDA with the power and features of a laptop with superior playback results of up to 12 hours. Clearview’s innovative technology will allow a person to access applications anytime, anywhere -- whether it's the living room, the automobile, an airplane or the office.

"Clearview undertook a ground-up redesign of the PC architecture resulting in radical miniaturization, extended battery life and high performance in a usable and affordable package that is finally small enough to be called mobile," said president and founder Csaba Tomas, Clearview Technology. "This device represents a new PC category that will transform mobile computing as we know it and we wouldn’t have been able to achieve the level of performance and integration without the RMI Alchemy Au1250 Processor.”

Powered by the RMI Alchemy Au1250 Processor running at 600MHz, the Infinity miPC features the functionalities of a laptop, HPC, PPC, PDA and multimedia player, with digital video and picture recording capabilities integrated into a single compact device. In addition, through its WIFI B/G, Bluetooth, USB, and Serial connections, consumers can easily add peripherals such as GPS, keyboard, mouse, headset and a full-sized monitor, further extending the functionality and mobility of the miPC. The Infinity miPC offers consumers an enhanced mobile experience through a broad range of software applications: SoftMaker’s Office 2008 offers advanced productivity and compatibility with Microsoft’s Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats, Phatware’s Calligrapher 8.5 delivers “self learning” handwriting recognition, CE Agenda provides a very efficient PIM (personal information manager), and the Opera 9.0 with embedded Flash Light 3 delivers a rich desktop-like browsing experience.
