PRODUCT BRIEF

NetLogic Microsystems DBAu1300 Development Board

Overview
NetLogic Microsystems’ industry-leading Alchemy® Processor family comprises a series of ultra low-power embedded processors that deliver the powerful processing performance, ultra low-power functionality and market specific integration required for next-generation products like enterprise thin clients, automotive infotainment, telematics, and other media rich embedded applications.

The NetLogic Microsystems DBAu1300 development board is an all-inclusive hardware and software tool suite that enables product developers to quickly and easily design and test next-generation digital media devices and applications that require digital video, 3D graphics, low power and high CPU performance. TheDBAu1300 development board includes a complete set of features for the development and testing of operating system and application software for products based on the low-power, high-performance digital media capabilities of the NetLogic Microsystems Au1300 series processors.

The DBAu1300 development board is a logical extension of the capabilities of the Au1300 series processors. This chip provides on-chip decoding of virtually all digital media formats, including H.264, MPEG1, 2 and 4, DivX, XviD and VC-1on media-rich devices, without the need for transcoding.

The development board is designed to optimize the strengths of the NetLogic Microsystems Au1300 series processor, such as the Enhanced Media Engine® (MAE2), dual DDR2 controllers and Advanced 3D Graphics Processing Engine (GPE).
